                                    MUYOOMA SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH HISTORY.

 

Muyooma SDA church is found in chilenje south of lusaka city. It is located at Muyooma Basic School which is along chuswe road about 200 metres off muramba road or 300 metres off pemba road.

  Muyooma SDA church became a branch under chilenje main SDA church in 2005. The pastor in charge of the District was pastor Imolo. It began with about 30 baptised members. The leader of the company then was Elder Jack Mwesha. In 2006 the branch was headed by elder Mayford Shabeenzu. It became company in 2007 with about 53 members under the leadership of elder Mayford Shabeenzu and elder kanyemba. In 2008 the church was lead by elder M. shabeenzu, Elder Hikabongo Matongo and brother Victor Bwalya. In 2009 the company was lead by Deacon Hyten Ndila and elder M. Shabeenzu. From january 2010 up to july 24th of the same year the company was lead by Deacon H. Ndila assisted by Deacon Edgar mulenga. On the 25th of July 2010, the company was officially organised into a church with 62 baptised members. The first leaders of the new church were Elder Mayford Shabeenzu and newly ordained Elder Hyten Ndila and the two lead the church from July of 2010 to December 2011.

 The church leaders for 2012 are Elder Hyten Ndila,Elder Rodger Mwanza,Elder Samuel Bwalya and Elder Mayford Shabeenzu.

Our Objectives as a Church in 2012 are as follows;

SPIRITUAL:

  • To ensure members grow Spiritually
  • Theme of Offering Adherence
  • Observance of Sabbath School and Divine theme.
  • Bible Study Attendance
  • Home cell revivals
  • Participation in Church activities.
  • To baptize 40 souls by the end of the year.
PHYSICAL OBJECTIVES:
  • To acquire a plot
  • To procure garden chairs/benches
  • To purchase a still camera.
The happenings in our church help us see that indeed God is our guide and he will see us through.
